Nora KAMM is a German saxophonist, flutist and composer. Equally active on tour and in the studio, since 2011 she has recorded and shared the stage with musicians such as Michel Benita, Andy Sheppard, Emile Parisien, Vincent Peirani, Manu Dibango, Paco Sery, Cheick Tidiane Seck, Mariana Ramos and many more. She is founder of the band Nora Kamm TRIBA, a blend of West African rhythms and jazz. The debut album will be released in autumn 2021.

With her former band, Dreisam, Nora released two albums, and played over 300 concerts in France and Germany. They have been praised in major French press, radio and television programmes (Jazzman Magazine, Télématin, FIP Radio). Nora is also recipient of the Selmer Soloist Prize, awarded by Patrick Selmer during the Young Talents Competition 2014 in Paris (Festival Saint-Germain-des-Prés)

Born in Frankfurt, Germany, she started playing the flute at the age of twelve and joined the Frankfurt Brass Philharmonic Orchestra. She discovered the saxophone five years later and fell under the charm of jazz. Equally fascinated by contemporary history, she studied this subject at the University of Freiburg. After moving to Lyon in 2010, she entered the Conservatory of Lyon in order to study jazz and composition. Nora quickly became one of the most in-demand saxophonists in the region, completing her Master’s degree in contemporary history at the University of Lyon the following year.

In 2018 she moved to Paris, where she is currently preparing the release of her new album.
